About

I’m Chloe Young, a Nutritional Therapist and Nutrigenomics Counsellor with over 20 years’ experience supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

My journey began as a Midwife, qualifying from King’s College London in 2008 and spending many years at St Thomas’ Hospital, where I worked across all areas of maternity care and led several large clinical research trials. I later practised as an Independent Midwife across London and Kent, supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postnatal period — including home births during lockdown. My time working in maternity A&E opened my eyes to the growing number of pregnancy complications and the need for a more holistic approach to women’s health.

Driven by a passion to help women breastfeed successfully, I qualified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2015 and supported thousands of families in the community, through the NHS and privately. You can find my chapter on breastfeeding in “The Happy Birth Club” by Bev Turner and midwife Pam Wild. Supporting breastfeeding women sparked my fascination with nutrition, as I saw how diet could influence issues like mastitis, allergies, and low milk supply.

This inspired me to retrain as a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I graduated with distinction. I now use a functional medicine approach to identify root causes of symptoms, combining whole foods, supplements, and lifestyle support to restore balance and promote long-term wellbeing. My approach is evidence-based, deeply personalised, and continues to evolve with ongoing study and research.

To take this one step further, I trained as a Nutrigenomics Counsellor, exploring how nutrition interacts with our genes. This led me to develop my precision nutrition programme designed to help women understand their unique genetic blueprint and optimise their health, fertility, and recovery through targeted nutrition.

Alongside my clinical work, I’ve also supported families as a Maternity Nurse and Night Nanny, offering hands-on help with newborn care, feeding, sleep, and early parenting — experience that has given me a true understanding of what families need in those precious early months.

By bringing all of this together, I now offer a holistic, science-led approach to women’s health — empowering women and families to feel nourished, confident, and supported through every stage of pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
